Lori, a former beauty queen, and Chad, a self-proclaimed religious author, were linked by their extreme apocalyptic beliefs. Their relationship developed while both were still married to their respective spouses, both of whom died under suspicious circumstances. Lori’s husband, Charles Vallow, was shot by her brother, Alex Cox, and Chad’s wife, Tammy Daybell, died suddenly just weeks before he married Lori.
