April 12–13, 2025 (Approx.)

• Alisa begins communicating on Discord with Samuel Mitchell (41, Herriman, UT) under the username “samitch.”
• Conversations quickly turn sexual and involve her asking him to kidnap her.

April 15–18, 2025

• Alisa and Mitchell exchange disturbing chats, planning to meet. She requests he bring condoms.
• Mitchell refers to her as “baby girl” and responds with explicit sexual language.

April 19, 2025

• 12:34 AM: Alisa messages Mitchell: “I’M RUNNING AWAY… please don’t contact me.”

April 21, 2025 – Day of Disappearance

• 9:30 AM: Alisa is dropped off at school in American Fork by a family member.
• She never enters school; instead, goes to a local gas station to purchase items.
• Boards a UTA train to Provo.
• Evening: Seen exiting train in Provo and asking strangers how to get to Las Vegas.
• Last confirmed sighting: on foot in Provo, captured by surveillance.

April 21–23, 2025

• South Jordan PD launches missing persons investigation. Source
• During a consented search, police find a hidden iPad in Alisa’s dresser.
• Messages on Discord and Instagram link her to three adult men: Mitchell, Menard, and Glines.
• She is listed as Endangered Missing in NCIC.

April 27, 2025

• Urgent Plea from Alisa’s Father Nikolai: Still looking for Alisa. Still hoping she returns back home. Still missing her a lot. Hoping she is ok and that she would somehow by some miracle just return back so that our family is complete again. Source

• Update: The tip revealed the identity of another adult male living in Texas. South Jordan Police have reason to believe the adult male may have communicated with Alisa prior to her leaving school on April 21, 2025. The South Jordan Police Department will be working closely with the Texas City Police Department on the outcome of their investigation. We will continue all efforts to locate Alisa and follow any leads that may become discoverable from our Texas partners. Source

Utah Child Exploitation & Missing Juvenile Cases Update

Matthew Menard (Miami, FL) – Alisa Petrov Case

• Status: Initial appearance scheduled for June 2, 2025, before a Utah judge.
• Background: Menard is facing enticement and exploitation charges related to the disappearance of 15-year-old Alisa Petrov, who remains missing and endangered.
• Legal Representation: Menard has retained Collins Rupp, P.C., a Utah-based defense firm, though no public comment has been issued by the attorneys as of this update.
• Case Reference: South Jordan Police Department, Case # SJ25-11568
• Public Advisory: Alisa is listed as an endangered runaway juvenile. Any information about her location should be reported immediately to law enforcement.

Samuel Mitchell (Herriman, UT)

• Case Status: No new developments reported on his charges related to child exploitation.

June 1, 2025

• Alisa Petrov, has been found alive in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In the evening hours of June 1, 2025, a young female voluntarily made contact with the Colorado Springs, Colorado Police Department and identified herself as Alisa Petrov. Alisa’s identity was confirmed. Alisa is in good health and safe with Colorado officials. Alisa’s parents have been notified of her location and are working with South Jordan Police to bring her home.
